TEWWG pre-reading journal

FITTING IN...In some way teenagers have experienced a way of not fitting in, the most popular one is during school. There are all different kinds of people, but only "certain" ones, you could say, are popular. There are some people that would love to have the spot light on them at all times, and all they ever worry about is popularity, then there are others who could care less. I think thats the part where I fit in, popularity doesn't get you anywhere in life. Yea, it is nice if people like you, but you don't have to be popular to be liked. There are a lot of choices out there in this world, you just got to open your eyes and live a little.

Future Journal

In the next 10 years I will be attending Texas Tech University to get a Master’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design. I will be married, and have two kids. I will live outside of Lubbock and own lots of land and a big house. I am going to have a big yard so I can plant flowers, and also I will have lots of 4 wheelers and dirt bikes. I will be very family oriented, because I don’t think I will be able to stay away from my family for a long time. I will always be busy taking my kids to their activities.

On September 11, 2001, I was in Mrs. Long's third grade class. It was a normal day, just like any other school day, but around 1:30p.m. I remember a teacher rushing in to her room and whispering something in her ear. Mrs. Long just started crying. All the students in her class didn't know what was wrong, or what had happened, but we knew whatever it was, was bad! Mrs. Long gave us a paper to work on while she and the rest of the teachers went out in the hall and were talking. You couldn't really understand what they were talking about, but they were being loud! After about 15 minutes, Mrs. Long came back in, and told us what have happened. We didn't really know what to think, or how to act, we were just in 3rd grade, but the look on her face told us everything. We got dismissed out of school early that day, and right when I got home, I seen what have happened on the T.V. It was bad, really bad. On that day, there were many family members, heroes, soldiers, that died. After that day, we will never forget what had occurred on September 11, 2001. From this day on, we still pray, and hope that something like that will never happen again. We still have soldiers fighting in Iraq after 7yrs. for 9/11. That day was the most scariest and horrible thing that could of happened to America, but we relive from that day, grew stronger, and now are more of a country than ever.

Journal

If I could change one thing about my life, what would it be?
I would change my relationship with my sister. Me and my sister Whitney, used to get along, but I don't know what happened. We are always arguing or fighting about something, no matter what it is. I miss the old days, we were so close, and it just seems like everyday we are moving farther apart. So if I could change one thing about my life, it would be to refresh me and my sisters relationship.
